A brief
outline of the plant
|
|
The plant
is located in the industrial part of Ternopil, a fifteen minutes' drive
from the downtown part of the city. The plant occupies an area of 3.2
hectares. The plant produces unique dairy products enriched with iodine
(iodine-casein). It is the only plant in Ukraine producing this type of
dairy products. In view of the problem of iodine deficiency endemic in
Ukraine's western regions, dairy products enriched with iodine are of
particular importance for the population of this region, as they are effective
preventive means.

production capacity of the plant is 300 tonnes of milk per day.

* Milk
receiving capacity is 150 tonnes per shift.
|
|
* The whole-milk
products production capacity enables to process up to 40 tonnes of milk
per shift.

* Butter
is produced on the "Mylioshyna" production line with a capacity of 6 tonnes
per shift.

|
* Cottage
cheese production line has the capacity of 3 tonnes per shift.
|
|
* The capacity
of the Cheddar cheese and Gouda cheese production lines is 800 kg. and
1.2 tonnes per shift respectively.

* The capacity
of the casein production line is 700 kg. per shift.

Additional
information:
|
| The facilities available enable to increase volumes of processed milk and extend the range of products. Storage facilities can simultaneously accommodate 60 tonnes of cheese, 80 tonnes of butter refrigerated for long periods, 30 tonnes of cottage cheese, 60 tonnes of whole-milk products. The plant is staffed by 230 employees, out of them 55 are involved in the production cycle. The plant has a registered trademark, Molokiya, and holds a patent on the technology of production of whole-milk products enriched with iodine-casein. |
